Meet Taylor.

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the body when there is no infection or virus there- essentially, the body is at war with itself.

Commonly affecting the joints, skin, kidneys, heart, etc., lupus is unpredictably complex. It is life-changing; mentally and physically challenging; and difficult to see or understand at times. It affects different people in different ways, truly altering every day experiences whether it’s simple tasks like walking around or the larger process of working towards life goals.

May is Lupus Awareness Month. Sharing this small part of Taylor’s story speaks to a worldwide relevance. She is an engineer, musician, hiker, and the strongest person I know, capable of anything and everything.

This was our conversation and we only hope to spark yours.
